What is KrutiDev?

KrutiDev is a legacy Hindi (Devanagari) font family widely used in Indian government documents, legal correspondence, newspapers, and official publications since the 1990s. It uses ASCII characters to represent Devanagari glyphs, meaning the same text looks like nonsense in other fonts.

Installing KrutiDev Fonts

  1. Download KrutiDev .ttf font files from a licensed source.
  2. Upload all .ttf files to: /wp-content/themes/nexttech-theme/fonts/krutidev/
  3. The @font-face declarations in krutidev.css will automatically load them.
  4. Font selector in the Converter tab will become active with the installed fonts.
