The Karnataka Cabinet approved a new Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence in Biotechnology (AI-CoE) in Bengaluru, designed to accelerate innovation at the intersection of AI and life sciences. Located in Electronics City, this facility will support startups, research, and product development over a four-year period.

• Location & Partners: Located at the IBAB campus in Electronics City, the center is a collaboration between the Karnataka government, IBAB, and C-CAMP.
• Funding & Focus: Supported by a ₹20 crore, four-year budget, it focuses on AI applications in drug discovery, genomics, diagnostics, and precision medicine.
• Objectives: The CoE aims to foster innovation by connecting startups and researchers with industry partners.
